As we celebrate transport month this October, Rosebank College, an educational brand of the Independent Institute of Education, recognises the various transport modes available to our students, offering convenient access to our campuses. "Whether you choose to study at our Pietermaritzburg, Pretoria CBD or Sunnyside, Durban, Braamfontein, Polokwane or Bloemfontein campus, all our sites have been thoughtfully located in areas that allow our students a variety of options to choose from when travelling to and from campus," says Greg Fillmore, Managing Director of Rosebank College. Situated on Chief Albert Luthuli Street, our Pietermaritzburg campus offers easy access to taxi and bus routes that connect you to anywhere you wish to travel in and out of the city. Our Durban campus is situated
In 2018, Rosebank College will be opening its first Connected Campus in Bloemfontein. "Our Bloemfontein campus is conveniently located along taxi and bus routes in the centre of town," adds Fillmore. The same is true for the Pretoria CBD campuses. "Our Sunnyside campus is directly opposite the A Re Yeng bus rapid transport terminal," says Fillmore. This years theme for Transport Month is "Together we move South Africa Forward."During this month government, specifically the Department of Transport, and its entities will showcase transport infrastructure services in aviation, maritime, public transport and roads.
This month will also be used to further advance the country's road safety initiatives – while also creating benefits for the sector. October was declared Transport Month in 2005 during the Transport Lekgotla. It is used to raise awareness about the important role of transport in the economy and to encourage participation from civil society and business, including the provision of a safe and more affordable, accessible and reliable transport system in the country.
