The IIE Bachelor of Laws or LLB (Legum Baccalaureus) degree is tailored for individuals who aspire to practice law in South Africa. This noble profession equips individuals with the skills, knowledge and attributes required for a tenured practitioner in the legal fraternity. It allows graduates to enrol as an attorney or advocate upon successful completion of the curriculum and after having gone through the necessary training as required by the relevant professional body. Graduates are allowed to follow various legal career choices upon completing this programme. It is a perfect fit for an individual who aspires to be part of the noble profession, and it is structured in such a way that it provides exposure to practical, theoretical and contemporary legal hassles or lacunae existing in the legal fraternity and simultaneously provides remedies applicable to a particular set of a scenario or facts. It provides an aspiring practitioner with a set of legal skills that include but are not limited to civil litigation, criminal procedures, drafting legally binding contracts, interpretation of statutes, labour law, as well as basic legal communication skills.

This is a four-year qualification offered by The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE).
MODE OF DELIVERY
Distance (Online): This IIE qualification is available online through IIE distance online learning for individuals wanting to study and work.
